Two persons killed in CTO area in Dagestan

This night, two militants involved in a murder of a district police inspector have been shot dead near the village of Kachalai in the Babayurt District of Dagestan.

On September 30, a body of a policeman with signs of violent death was found in the Kizlyar District of Dagestan, and his car was found burnt down in the Babayurt District. On October 1, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime was introduced in the Babayurt and Kizilyurt Districts.

"In the course of the CTO, law enforcers stopped a car from which fire was opened. Two militants in the car were liquidated by return fire," reported a source from the law enforcement agencies as quoted by the RIA "Novosti".

According to the preliminary information, the policemen found that the killed suspects had a service weapon of the deceased district police inspector, the TASS reports with reference to a source from the Dagestani law enforcement agencies.
