Krasnodar court finds violations in documents on searches of “EcoWatch” leaders

The case of Andrei Rudomakha and Dmitri Shevchenko, the leaders of the "Ecological Watch on Northern Caucasus" (EcoWatch), suspected of slandering the former vice-governor of the Krasnodar Territory Alexander Remezkov, has been sent to an official check in the context of violations, admitted at conducting searches.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 23 the homes of Rudomakha and Shevchenko were searched within the slander case of Ex-Vice-Governor Alexander Remezkov.

"The court has found that four different court sessions on the searches conducted in four different locations by the same court composition at the same time, and returned the case to the Oktyabrsky District Court of Krasnodar for holding a service check and elimination of gross violations," said Alexander Popkov, an advocate.

The defence’s motion demanding to quash the statements about searches of the homes of Rudomakha and Shevchenko was rejected by the court, the RAPSI reports citing Mr Popkov, adding that he fears that the district court would try to explain the revealed violations by a secretary’s technical mistake.
