Sculptures, decorations and tapestries created by Syrian repatriates are presented at the exhibition "Autumn-2016" in Nalchik, organized by the Union of Artists. At the opening day, August 31, the exhibition was attended by about 100 people, the organizers have reported.
In total, the exhibition presents more than 200 works in the arts of painting, graphic arts and crafts.
Three artists-repatriates from Syria are presented, namely, Mokhsen Sharkas (Achmiz), Subkhi Ibragim Mukhammad (Sosnak) and Marian Ismail.
Olga Begret, one of the organizers from the movement "Help to Compatriots from Syria", said that there are many talented people among the repatriates, and the exhibition is a proof.
"They have integrated into our society and try to contribute to the culture and arts of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR)," she explained to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Agnessa Khambazarova, an employee of the Republic's Foundation of Culture, said, while evaluating the works by Mukhammad Sosnak, that "she would be happy to wear these decorations herself." "These pieces have no price – a very time-consuming and filigree work," she said.
