In Yerevan, priest offers to act as mediator in passing foodstuffs to rebels

Starting from this very morning, citizens are bringing food for members of the group "Sasna Tsrer" (Daredevils of Sassoun), who seized the building of the police regiment in Yerevan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 23, a group of supporters of the "Constituent Parliament", holding the building of the police regiment since July 17, reached an agreement with the police on supply of food for the rebels. However, till present, the problem has not been solved despite the protests of the opposition supporters.

Father Grigor Ovannisyan, a priest of the Armenian Apostolic Church, has blessed the food intended for the rebels. He has offered the police to act as a mediator in passing the food to the members of the group "Sasna Tsrer".

Special vehicles are accumulated in the area of the building of the seized police regiment, beyond the cordon-off arranged by lorries.
