Advocates: investigators failed to take steps to find Marem Alieva
Vitaly Zubenko, an advocate of Elizaveta Alieva, has filed a complaint against the investigators' refusal to inform about the progress of the inquiry into the case initiated after the disappearance of her sister Marem in Ingushetia. During the six months, the investigators in charge could not establish the fate of the missing woman, said Olga Gnezdilova, an activist of the Fund "Russian Justice Initiative".
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Marem Alieva, a resident of Ingushetia, disappeared in September 2015. Her husband was taken into custody on January 21, but then the district court placed him under house arrest. Marem's sister Elizaveta Alieva was recognised to be the suffered party in the case.
Six months have expired since the disappearance of Marem Alieva, but no information about the investigation of the case is available. The case was initiated under the article "Murder", but it seems that no inquiry is being conducted, said the advocate Vitaly Zubenko.
On March 11, he sent a complaint to the ICRF that investigators failed to inform Elizaveta Alieva about their investigatory activities.
Let us remind you that Elizaveta Alieva is helped by the above Fund "Legal Initiative for Russia".
The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that Elizaveta Alieva and her husband were kidnapped on July 10, 2015, but were released after a prompt action of the police. Elizaveta asserts that the kidnappers could have been involved in disappearance of her sister.
