Eduard Khidirov demands to stop the second criminal case against him

The decision of the Supreme Court of Dagestan that declared illegal the criminal case against Eduard Khidirov, an MP of the National Assembly of Dagestan and the former head of the regional branch of the "Patriots of Russia" Party, relates the fraud case and illegal banking activities. The charges against Khidirov of creating a criminal community and participation therein are not cancelled. Khidirov himself believes that the second case follows the first one; and the court's decision should entail cancellation of the second case either.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 2, the Supreme Court of Dagestan declared illegal the decision of the Acting Head of the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the ICRF of August 15, 2015, to open a criminal case against Khidirov.

Eduard Khidirov, who is at the moment abroad, taking his medical treatment, said that he plans to return to the republic.

Let us remind you that on November 6 it was announced that Khidirov became a figurant of the second case – on creation of a criminal grouping. According to the ICRF, the case was investigated in connection with the bankruptcy of the "Naftabank".

Khidirov had a certain political weight in Dagestan; however, he began losing his influence after the arrest of Said Amirov, the ex-Mayor of Makhachkala, said Milrad Fatullaev the editor-in-chief of the Dagestan news agency RIA "Derbent".

He is critical to the version of some Khidirov's party colleagues that the case against him may have to do with the upcoming in 2016 elections to the State Duma, as well as to the republic's parliament.
