Imam killed in Khasavyurt

In Dagestan, unidentified men have shot and killed the Imam of the mosque at the city hospital of Khasavyurt. His father was wounded.

The incident has occurred today, at about 5:00 p.m., the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by one of the believers of the mosque.

"Imam Suleiman was driving a car, and his father was accompanying him. The Imam died, and his father was wounded and brought to the local hospital," said the source.

According to the believer, "all of people always spoke well" about the deceased Imam, who had recently became the Imam of the mosque. "He studied in Egypt, and he took part in charity events together with Abu Umar Sasitli (Abu Umar Sasitli, a preacher in Novo-Sasitli, who founded a madrasa in his village, note of the "Caucasian Knot")," the source has stated.

The information about the Imam's murder has been confirmed by the Khasavyurt GOVD (City Interior Division).

Suleiman Kokreksky, the author of a number of sermons and lectures, has been killed in Khasavyurt. He was one of the followers of the Salafi concept of Islam, the "Voice of Islam" reports.
