Woman from Nalchik wounded in CTO undergoes surgery
During the counterterrorist operation (CTO), the woman was wounded in her stomach, said her relative. Eyewitnesses add that in Nalchik two apartments were slightly damaged during the CTO.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 10 power agents blocked a multi-storey building in Nalchik, where, according to their data, Robert Zankishiev, the leader of the local branch of the "Islamic State" (IS), and his Muslim wife were hiding.
The woman was wounded and taken away from the CTO scene. Zankishiev was shot dead during the assault of the apartment. At the end of the assault, the CTO regime was lifted. An OMON fighter was wounded.
Robert Zankishiev was on the federal wanted list on suspicion of involvement in an illegal armed formation (IAF). According to law enforcers, he was the leader of the Kabardino-Balkarian unit of the "Islamic State" (IS, earlier, ISIL, recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia and a number of other countries, note of the "Caucasian Knot"), and he was well-known under the military nickname of "Abdulla".
According to the relative, nobody is allowed to visit the wounded woman in the hospital. "Doctors performed a complex surgery. She was wounded in her stomach. Now she is in the hospital," he told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent today.
According to eyewitnesses, during the CTO held in Nalchik, in the neighbourhood "Dubki", two apartments were damaged – one in the ninth floor, where Robert Zankishiev was hiding, and another apartment located right above it.
The damaged apartments were visited by employees of the Civil Defence and Emergencies Service of Nalchik, but the sum of damage is not yet calculated, Robert Gaunov, the head of the Service, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
