Casualties of shootout in Nazran marketplace named

Today, in the universal indoor marketplace in Nazran, a shootout broke out, during which two persons were killed. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), they rendered armed resistance to law enforcers who tried to detain them.

The casualties of the shootout have been identified as Beslan Makhauri, the leader of militants of the Sunzha District, and Ilyas Vedzizhev, the leader of the "Nazran" grouping, said a law enforcement source.

Let us remind you that Beslan Makhauri, a native of Chechnya, was on the federal wanted list since 2009. According to investigators, he was involved in numerous attacks on power agents, including the terror act near the ROVD (District Interior Division) building in Sernovodsk on September 16, 2013, where three policemen were killed.

Ilyas Vedzizhev was a native of Nazran; he was also on the federal wanted list on suspicion of commission of terrorist crimes, says the website of the MIA of Ingushetia.

Vedzizhev was the leader of the "Nazran" grouping of militants, which consisted mainly of residents of Nazran and the village of Plievo, says one of the websites that support power agents.
