Relatives of Kayakent Imam complain to police about his kidnapping
Today, a brother of Isa Koitemirov, Imam of the Dagestani village of Kayakent, has reported about his detention. The brother of the detained Imam believes that weapons were planted to Isa Koitemirov by law enforcers during a search. Advocate Vladimir Korkhalev has filed a complaint to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Dagestan on behalf of the family members of Isa Koitemirov. According to the advocate, the complaints were also filed to the Prosecutor's Office and the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
Today, at 6:00 a.m., the house and yard of the Koitemirov family were searched, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Khasan, a brother of the detainee. He has added that as a result of the search, the law enforcers reported on the discovery of a pistol, a grenade, and "some kind of a bottle." The Isa's wife was brought outside during the search. Those items have nothing in common with our family," Khasan Koitemirov states.
Till present, the family members of the Imam of Kayakent cannot locate him, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Vladimir Korkhalev, an advocate of the Imam.
"Some people say that he is kept on the territory of the Buynaksk District, and others say that he is in the Kayakent District. More than three hours have passed since the moment of his detention. Law enforcers should have informed the relatives about his detention during this period of time," the advocate has reported.
"We have filed complaints about the kidnapping to the ICRF's Dagestani Department, the national and local Prosecutor's Offices, and the Dagestani MIA," the advocate has said.
