Suspected accomplices of militants detained in Dagestan
In the village of Novy Kurush of the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, four persons were detained on suspicion of aiding and abetting militants. According to a local resident, law enforcers found a weapon during a search of one of the detainees.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 17, in the course of the special operation in the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, law enforcers killed four men, including Rasul Sardarov and Alkhas Sardarov. They were wanted on suspicion of killing the Imam of the mosque in the village of Novy Kurush.
According to Magomed A., a resident of Novy Kurush, "relatives state that the detainees are not guilty and that now, law enforcers simply try to intimidate the entire Salafi community of Novy Kurush." The villager has added that in general, the situation in the village is quiet.
Let us remind you that on October 22, an explosion occurred in the village of Novy Kurush, which destroyed the Sardarov brothers' house. According to a source from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), an improvised explosive device (IED) was found in the house of the Sardarov brothers, which detonated in the course of its neutralization.
According to a resident of the village, familiar with the family members of killed Alkhas Sardarov, the wife of Alkhas Sardarov with his two children lived in the house.
"A couple of days before the house was blown up, they were visited by law enforcers, who asked the woman to take her children and leave the house, since it would be blown up," the villager has said. He has added he does not believe that killed Alkhas Sardarov would "keep an explosive device at home, where his minor children lived."
