In Kabardino-Balkaria, school teacher accused of involvement in armed underground
In Kabardino-Balkaria, a criminal case against a mathematics teacher of a school in the Cherek District is under investigation. While searching his car, law enforcers found during a Makarov pistol and two fragmentation grenades, the Prosecutor's Office reports.
On October 15, a resident of the village of Aushiger of the Cherek District of Kabardino-Balkaria, a 34-year-old teacher of mathematics and computer science in secondary school detained on the outskirts of the village of Gerpegezh.
"It has been found out that firearm and ammunition were illegally acquired by the defendant as a result of his close cooperation in the past years with the active members (including killed ones) of extremist armed underground of Kabardino-Balkaria," reports the website of the Kabardino-Balkarian Prosecutor's Office.
According to the press service, the suspect has a prosperous family and has been working as a schoolteacher during 10 years.
The suspect is arrested, and a criminal case is instituted against him under Article "Illegal acquisition, storage, carrying of firearms, ammunition, and explosive substances."
