Two persons killed near Gimry
Today, a shootout has taken place between suspected members of an illegal armed formation (IAF) and law enforcers in the forest near the village of Gimry of the Untsukul District of Dagestan. Two suspected militants were killed.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 10, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in the Untsukul District.
"The grouping of militants presumably consisted of 7-9 persons. When the militants saw the law enforcers, they opened indiscriminate fire on them. The law enforcers managed to eliminate two militants by return fire," reports a source in the law enforcement bodies.
According to the source, "the chase for other militants has been suspended till daylight," since the path can be mined, the RIA "Dagestan" reports.
No law enforcer suffered in the shootout, the "Chernovik" newspaper reports with reference to a source in the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan.
According to the source, the shootout was initiated by members of the Gimry terrorist grouping, and the rest of them were liquidated on August 10.
