Grozny CRO fixes Guchigov-Goylabieva marriage
The registration ceremony of the marriage of the 48-year-old Police Colonel Nazhud Guchigov to the 17-year-old Louise Goylabieva was held at the Civil Registry Office (CRO) in Grozny.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 30, journalist Elena Milashina reported on the preparations for the wedding of Nazhud Guchigov and a 17-year-old girl from the village of Baitarki. Despite the public outcry, the authorities of Chechnya and Children's Ombudsman Pavel Astakhov do not believe that the rights of the girl have been violated. The story of the wedding of a 17-year-old girl to a much older man is typical of the Caucasian society, claim experts and local residents interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot".
Today, in the presence of witnesses, a dozen of reporters and guests, the bride and the groom reiterated their voluntary intention to become husband and wife. The newlyweds received their certificate of marriage registration.
The respective stamps were affixed in their passport; the groom's one indicates that he was born in 1967, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
The "Interfax" adds that from the CRO Guchigov, Goylabieva moved, accompanied by relatives and friends, to the Grand Hall Firdaws, where the wedding party began.
The Twitter pages of the correspondents for the Radio "Moscow Speaking" show photos of the newlyweds' passports with fresh marriage stamps. The Twitter also reports that Guchigov really had the "first wife", but "the marriage with her was not officially registered."
