Azerbaijani authorities put The New York Times journalist on "persona non grata" list

In Azerbaijan, Seth Kugel, a journalist of The New York Times, has been included in the "persona non grata" list for his trip to Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), the article written by Seth Kugel following the results of his trip to Nagorno-Karabakh, distorts "the situation in the occupied territory and thus expresses disrespect to the millions of Azerbaijanis, who fell victims to ethnic cleansings."

"Seth Kugel, who published his article in the The New York Times newspaper, had illegally visited the occupied territories of Azerbaijan and thus violated the Law 'On State Border of the Republic of Azerbaijan'," the Interfax quotes the spokesman of the Azerbaijani MFA as stating.

Seth Kugel is included in the Azerbaijani MFA's "persona non grata" list "for illegal visit to the occupied Azerbaijani territories," the Trend reports.
