"Kommersant": in case of Boris Nemtsov's murder, investigators search for evidence against Ruslan Geremeev

In the case of the Boris Nemtsov's murder, investigators attempt to reveal the connection between Ruslan Geremeev, the ex-officer of the Chechen battalion "Sever" (North), and the suspected perpetrators of the crime. This has been reported today by the "Kommersant".

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 27, the "RBC" reported the interrogation of Ruslan Geremeev in Chechnya. However, on March 28, the "Novaya Gazeta" called the information on the interrogation of Ruslan Geremeev a false. On April 7, the "Rosbalt" reported with reference to a source in the law enforcement bodies that the investigators could not interrogate Ruslan Geremeev, since his whereabouts are officially unknown.

The investigators sent for examination the fingerprints and biological traces from the Moscow apartment and the car of the ex-officer. The examination is to determine whether those things were used by the persons accused of the murder of Boris Nemtsov, the "Kommersant" reports with reference to its sources.

"The positive response of the experts will indirectly prove the connection of the witness and the suspected perpetrators of the crime," the article states.

It is also noted that the investigators found a traumatic pistol and a shotgun in the apartment in a house in Veernaya Street, where Geremeev and Dadaev lived, who, according to their former colleagues, left for Moscow together for half a year before the murder of Boris Nemtsov.

Footprints in the car and apartment, if any, will not unequivocally testify that a man who left them could have been involved in the murder, an advocate of a defendant states as quoted by the "Kommersant".
