Appeal of residents of Ingushetia to the authorities of the country and the republic on the fact of abduction of A.I. Tsechoev

To:

Incumbent President of the Russian Federation D.A. Medvedev

President Elect of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin

Head of the Republic of Ingushetia Yu.-B. Yevkurov

We, relatives, neighbours, colleagues and friends of Abubakar Isaevich Tsechoev kidnapped by unidentified power-wielding structures on March, 22, 2012, appeal to you demanding:

  • Immediately admit the kidnapped person’s attorney and doctor to him.
  • Call to account all the members of power ministries involved in the abduction.
  • Stop practice of kidnapping and extrajudicial reprisal once and forever.

If the authorities ignore our opinion we will resort to any kinds of nonviolent actions, meetings and demonstrations.

We are no longer going to tolerate the state of affairs when we are regularly, one by one, kidnapped, tortured and killed.

The authorities of the country and the republic who took the responsibility as guarantors of the citizens’ constitutional rights must be accountable for it before the people.

We demand to take urgent measures for elimination of repression and unlawfulness in the republic.

Indignantly,

Residents of Ingushetia (125 signatures in total)
