"Mother's Right" wants the death of an officer in Kabardino-Balkaria to be investigated

Natalia Vladimirovna Boichenko from Kabardino-Balkaria has addressed the "Mother's Right" foundation with a request of assistance in the investigation of the death of her son while serving in the army. This is contained in the foundation statement handed over to the "Caucasian Knot."

Lieutenant Sergey Boichenko, resident of Kabardino-Balkaria born in 1983, was serving under the contract in military unit 39032 in Primorsk Territory. He died on March 22, 2006. The military unit informed his mother that her son ostensibly committed suicide by shooting himself in the head from his personal pistol. Sergey was on duty. Around 5.40 a.m., after the checking officer reprimanded him he ostensibly shot himself.

The mother is sure that her son could not have committed suicide. Sergey wanted to serve in the army from his childhood. His grandfather is Hero of the Soviet Union.

The young man willingly went to the St-Petersburg military academy (air defence radio electronics), studied for 5 years and signed a contract. Mikhail, younger brother of the deceased, now goes to the same academy, the same faculty.

Sergey had ambitious plans for his life. Ha was sending money to his mother and brother from the army. "He fed me and Mikhail," relates Natalia Vladimirovna. Sergey used to send letters addressed to his mother and younger brother. "He wrote that the unit where he served was in a jumble," says Natalia Vladimirovna. "But the letters he was sending were good, he knew he could get a transfer to another unit or leave the service." The last Sergey's letter written on March 20, was received after his death. There is not even a hint at anything bad in it.

The zinc coffin with Sergey's body is still kept in the yard of his mother's house. It was bought there on March 25 by military unit officers. The military enlistment office employees visited the mother and insisted on immediate opening of the coffin and the burial. Natalia Vladimirovna refused. She decided to request an independent expert examination of the body. She already has a permit from Titorenko, S. I., investigating officer of Nalchik, the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria. But when she contacted the local Bureau of Forensic Medical Examinations she was told that she needs a resolution of the prosecutor. They even refused to give her a blank form of application for forensic examination and told her nothing about the prices. The Bureau chief refused to talk with Natalia Vladimirovna.

The "Mother's Right" foundation addressed the Ministry of Health and Social Development with a request to render assistance in conducting a prompt examination.

Natalia Vladimirovna Boichenko appeals to all mass media for assistance in covering the incident. She decided t not to bury her son until the forensic examination has been carried out. The resident of Kabardino-Balkaria is sure that her son is the victim of a crime.
