Picket devoted to Human Rights Day to be held in Krasnodar

On December 10, Human Rights Day declared by a resolution of the General Assembly in 1950, entrepreneurs of Krasnodar Territory are going to hold a picket in front of the building of the regional administration. Their aim is to draw public attention to the problems of entrepreneurs in the region. The picketers' demands are:

  • to dismiss the head of the Krimsky district administration;
  • to meet with Governor Aleksandr Tkachyov;
  • to mark out ground areas to build alternative entrepreneur markets.

Certification, zonation and reconstruction of markets are being conducted in Krasnodar Territory, and entrepreneurs lose their jobs as a consequence of it. Regional authorities proposed forming workgroups of entrepreneurs and officials of municipal area administrations to work out proposals on marking out land for alternative markets. But local authorities do not hurry to execute the governor's recommendations. Therefore entrepreneurs have to protect their interests by pickets, hunger strikes and other acts of civil disobedience.
