Number of candidates for presidency in Georgia increased up to 15

The number of candidates for the presidency in Georgia increased up to 15. Lyana Amanatashvili, a 39-year-old economist, and Yuri Mikirtumian, a 42-year-old engineer, submitted their applications to the Central Election Commission on Tuesday.

Thus, 13 Georgians, 1 Russian and 1 Armenian pretend to the post of the President. Two of the candidates are women.

The deadline for application submission expired on Tuesday, 1 December, at 17:00 Moscow time.
