Actions of police during mass riots in Baku under investigation in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan law-enforcement agencies are inquiring into actions of the police during mass riots in Baku. It was reported on November 20 by Fuad Alekserov, chief of the president's staff section to work with law-enforcement agencies.

"The investigation is under way. It will reveal law-enforcement agents who broke the law. The law is one for all citizens," said Mr. Alekserov.

On October 15 and 16, supporters of the opposition Musavat Party's leader Isa Gambar, who lost the presidential election, arranged the mass riots in Baku.
