Amnesty International in Pyatigorsk

Students of the Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University met members of the independent nonpolitical international organization "Amnesty International" last Thursday.

Amnesty International (AI) unites about 1.5 million people all over the world. It is not known enough in Russia as yet, though its Russian office already exists and works actively.

Therefore the AI activists' addresses to the university students were aimed mainly at familiarizing them with the organization's activity. AI members from Great Britain, the U.S., and Hungary were among the guests.
