    The Ministry on Diaspora Matters is organizing, together with the Union of Writers of Armenia, from June 28 to July 2 in Yerevan the 5th Forum of Writers under the motto "Armenian Literature Is Armenian Fortress". The forum is held within the festival "One Nation - One Culture" and will bring together about 100 writers from 20 countries.

  • Prosecution in the Nalchik attack case appeals against change of Budtuev's custody

    The state prosecution in the case dealing with the 2005 attack on power structures of Kabardino-Balkaria lodged a cassation presentation to the Supreme Court of Russia challenging the change of custody for defendant Kazbek Budtuev.   • "Rostransnadzor" warns that suicide bombers with implanted bombs may appear

    Today it became known that the "Rostransnadzor" (Russian Federal Agency for Supervising Transports) notified all Russian airports about possible acts of terrorism in air transport committed by female suicide bombers. According to the Agency's telegram of June 18, bombs may be implanted into women's bodies and triggered by means of injections, while women of Slavic appearance may be used for the actions.

  • Ingushetia: two DPS servicemen lost in shelling

    Today, at about 6:00 p.m. Moscow time, in the suburb of the municipal district Alkievskiy of Nazran, in Nazran-Karabulak Highway, a DPS (Road and Post Service) car with three STSI (State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, known in Russia as "GIBDD") inspectors of the Ingush MIA inside was shelled. Armenia refutes information about could-be war in Karabakh
