Russia has raised the issue of Pankisi Gorge again. It's DANGEROUS. It looks like NATO exercises in Georgia are too serious for Moscow.

Georgia categorically denies any cross over of militants from Pankisi Gorge to Chechnya. This was stated today by Zurab Kachkachishvili, head of the political department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Russian party, in particular, spokesmen from the Russian Armed Forces disseminated information that, allegedly, up to 60 armed militants, trained in Georgia, made their way from the Pankisi Gorge to Chechnya aiming to commit terror acts in Grozny.

"This information is an attempt to move a nonexistent problem to the forefront. It's just another provocation of the Russian party," said a spokesman of Georgian Foreign Office.

This information – there's nothing unusual in it, but the issue of Pankisi Gorge, which had once become almost mythical, for a long time wasn't raised by the Russian party.

Tbilisi still fears, moreover, there are rumours that Russia at any moment can strike another blow on Georgia. I always refute this information, saying that Russia won't benefit from that, and for them it's much better now to calmly watch the progress of events in Georgia. On the contrary, it's beneficial for official Tbilisi; they in fact actualize again the enemy's image, which, in case of chaos in the country, will instantly arrive and punish Georgia.

But in the current situation this message all the same is rather DISTURBING. Probably, it has to do with the forthcoming NATO exercises in Georgia; it looks like Moscow is rather irritated by what happens in Georgia, of which Moscow is so much "sick and tired."

Certainly, maybe, it's just noise for the sake of noise, but tell me, if suddenly Moscow starts sweeping the Kodori Gorge from up down, and they threatened and stated that they'd act in this way more than once, if the see danger, then what???

Who will stop Russia from flying, or, if necessary, to hit the target? Already now, actually, we're in conflict... The situation, after these statements, in the Russian-Georgian relations has really become more strained and explosive.
