Ruslan Yamadaev, murdered in Moscow, buried in Gudermes

Ex-Deputy of State Duma Ruslan Yamadaev, who was killed in Moscow, was buried today in the morning in the city of Gudermes. Sulim Yamadaev was not present at the funeral, same as none of the top officials, Ruslan's brother Isa Yamadaev has reported.

In the opinion of relatives, Ruslan's murder could be accomplished under the order of President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov with the aim to deprive Sulim Yamadaev of support in the Kremlin. Also, Ruslan Yamadaev could be killed with the aim to force his brother Sulim, former commander of "Vostok" battalion, to return home. According to this hypothesis, Sulim could have been killed or arrested on the case under which he had been in search, should he had appeared at the funeral.

The "Echo Moskvy" Radio reports that Isa Yamadaev has detailed, however, that his brother Sulim did not come to Chechnya at all; and it is unknown whether he will come there in the near future.

Initial messages on Yamadaev's murder said that it was Sulim Yamadaev, ex-commander of "Vostok", who had perished, and only afterwards it became clear that it was his brother. In the car, the casualty was accompanied by General-Colonel Sergey Kizyun, former military commandant of the Chechen Republic, who was heavily wounded in his head and hospitalized in a grave condition. His condition is improving. His room in the resuscitation ward is under day-and-night guard, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
