Former Mozdok Military Hospital head Artur Arakelyan was released on giving written undertaking not to leave place

The former head of the Mozdok Military Hospital Lieutenant Colonel of the Medical Service Artur Arakelyan was released on giving a written undertaking not to leave a place. The court made such a decision because Arakelyan's health had deteriorated.

Artur Arakelyan was arrested the next day after the terrorist act had been committed at the Mozdok Military Hospital on August 1, 2003. The former head of the hospital is charged with "criminal negligence" and "non-execution of order" according to the clauses of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

As a result of the explosion at the Mozdok Military Hospital, 50 people died and about 70 got injuries.
