Tinatin Khidasheli accuses Georgian authorities of pressure upon herself

Tinatin Khidasheli, one of the leaders of the "Republican Party" and a majority candidate to deputies from Saburtalin district in Georgia, claims that members of the youth wing of her party have been threatened while she is under permanent watch.

"Some unidentified persons prevented representatives of our party youth wing from sticking announcements. When the young republicans tried to do this, some unidentified persons sitting in a black BMW threatened them," claimed Khidasheli at today's press-conference.

According to Khidasheli, she has been under permanent watch for several days.

"Yesterday, a young man got on the fixed route taxi where members of the party youth wing were riding and threatened us against visiting the village of Digomi again. Still, I am going to Digomi one of these days to meet with voters," stressed the politician.

Khidasheli expects some reaction from the prosecutor's office and the Ministry of Interior to this situation.
