Number of North-Caucasian natives detained in Vienna increases

After a terror act in Vienna, at least 15 people were detained, including an ethnic Chechen, who came to the police to file a complaint about a door broken by special forces fighters.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 2, a series of terror acts took place in the Austrian capital. According to the police, three persons were killed. One of the gunmen was killed, he was a supporter of the "Islamic State" (IS, a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"). At present, the search for his accomplices is underway. After the terror acts in Austria, the police detained natives of Northern Caucasus and the Balkan countries, the Russian Ambassador to Austria reported.

On November 4, a 23-year-old Vienna resident of Chechen origin filed a complaint to the police about the broken door into his apartment. It turned out that the door was broken by fighters of the Cobra counter-terrorism unit, who were conducting searches in connection with the terror act. Law enforcers suspect the native of Chechnya of being connected with the terrorist, Heute reports.

Besides, on November 3, 14 people from the inner circle of the alleged militant were detained. All of them are migrants, and there are citizens of several countries among them, including Russia, Deutsche Welle reports.

Eight out of the fifteen detainees in the case on the terror act in Vienna had earlier criminal records, reported Austrian Interior Minister Karl Nehammer as quoted by the "Vienna Online".
