Ten residents of Kabardino-Balkaria arrested on suspicion of extremism
A court pronounced a decision to detain residents of the Lesken District, who, according to the police's version, created an extremist community and used force against those who did not share their views.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Kabardino-Balkaria, all ten detainees are residents of the Lesken District, aged 24 to 43. "Being supporters of a religious ideology of an extremist nature, the detainees created a community and subjected those who did not share their views to physical violence," the MIA of Kabardino-Balkaria reported.
"A criminal case against a 33-year-old suspected organizer of the extremist community was instituted under Part 1 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (creation of an extremist community for plotting or committing extremist crimes). Other members of the grouping are charged under Part 2 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (participation in an extremist community)," the MIA of Kabardino-Balkaria reports in a today's post on its the official website.
