In Armenia, resident of border village dies after a shelling attack

A resident of the village of Mets Masrik, who was wounded during a shelling attack from the Azerbaijani side, has died in a hospital, the Governor of the Gegharkunik Region of Armenia reports.

On Friday, Nagorno-Karabakh reported about missile attacks by the Azerbaijani troops on the Martuni and Martakert Districts. As a result, two houses were destroyed there. Azerbaijan claims that its troops do not shell populated areas.

Robert Yegiazaryan, who was wounded on October 1, died in the hospital, the "Panarmenian" reports. Apart from him, two other villagers were wounded in the same shelling attack, and one of them was killed at the place, the "Armenpress" reports.

According to the Ombudsman of Nagorno-Karabakh, in the period from the beginning of the hostilities till October 17, 37 residents of Karabakh villages, towns, and cities have been killed, and 116 others have been injured. According to the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan, since September 27, 63 civilians have been killed, while 293 others have been injured.
