Law enforcers write down data of believers near Tangim Mosque

After the Friday (August 21) namaz (prayer), a raid was held in the vicinity of the "Tangim" Mosque in Makhachkala, where law enforcers stopped cars and copied personal data.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that law enforcers are regularly holding Friday raids near the "Tangim" Mosque in Makhachkala. In late March, the mosque was closed due to the coronavirus epidemic, but with the resumption of Friday services, law enforcers' Friday raids resumed.

On last Friday, August 21, law enforcers held another raid near the "Tangim" Mosque. Idris Yusupov, a journalist, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that law enforcers' mobile posts were deployed in three locations, which made it possible to control all the cars leaving the mosque. There were about 40 law enforcers in total, Mr Yusupov has noted, adding that as usual, law enforcers stopped believers' cars, checked their documents and wrote down the data on drivers and cars. However, the checks did not affect pedestrians, Idris Yusupov has noted.
