Teenager's comments in social networks provoked his detention in Chechnya

Law enforcers have detained a 16-year-old resident of the village of Mesker-Yurt in the Shali District. According to the boy's relatives, the reason was in his comments he posted in social networks.

His female relative said that law enforcers "promised to release him after a prophylactic conversation."

"The teen was taken from our village. He ran correspondence in social networks, or wrote something unnecessary ... I categorically forbade my children to enter into any discussions on the YouTube and WhatsApp. The time is terrible now," Khava, a villager, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Viskhan, a resident of the Shali District, said that recently detentions were conducted in the village of Novye Atagi.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that in May, residents of Chechnya complained to Ramzan Kadyrov about the arrest of their sons, Magomed and Akhmed Khaikharoev, who had been in custody for five months. Instagram users then spoke out in mothers' support.
