ICO evaluates the best essay on Maikop Culture at USD 1000

The International Circassian Organization (ICO) has announced a scholarship programme for students of Adygea. The authors of best essays on the topic "Maikop Culture: Its History and Significance" will receive scholarships of USD 1000, the ICO has stated.

The information on the programme was sent to the SMS service of the "Caucasian Knot" on July 13.

Marziyat Bidanok, Deputy Director for Science of the Adyg Republic's Institute for Humanitarian Studies, said that students from all Adygea's higher schools are eligible for the programme. Those wishing to receive a scholarship of USD 1000 should submit their essays to the organizing committee on the topic "Maikop Culture: Its History and Significance", or a professional five-minute-long video on the same topic. Ms Bidanok has noted that the main goal of the scholarship programme is to support young people's interest in the Circassians' ancient culture and their mother tongue.
