FSB reports prevention of terror act in Vladikavkaz

A militant of the "Islamic State" (IS, a terrorist organization banned in Russia by the court) had been preparing an explosion in Vladikavkaz, after which he was planning to leave for the warfare in the Middle East, the press service of the FSB (Russian Federal Security Bureau) has reported.

"A Russian citizen, born in 1990, was detained, who was preparing to blow up a homemade explosive device at the administrative building," the RIA "Novosti" has quoted the FSB as saying.

Investigators found components of a homemade bomb and correspondence with IS militants, who are abroad, in the detainee's hideout.
