Residents of Chechnya criticize restrictions on walking

It is an absurd requirement to force a person to wear a mask while walking in the fresh air, and two hours per day are not enough for walks, residents of Chechnya write on Instagram.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that starting from June 1, within the campaign to mitigate the quarantine regime, residents of Chechnya were allowed to walk with their children not far from home and play sports in the street. At the same time, the system of permits still stayed in force, and that fact provoked dissatisfaction among local residents. Moreover, Magomed Daudov, the speaker of the Chechen parliament, threatened fines and two-week quarantine for those who enter a public place without a medical mask on a face.

Walking is allowed with a number of restrictions – between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and no further than 500 meters from home, the "Grozny" TV Channel reports. People are allowed to gather in groups of no more than four persons, and they are obliged to wear masks.

Instagram users have criticized the above restrictions. "Take off your masks, you need to breathe fresh air with your full breast," writes user rezihana3333.

User karat_2020 emphasizes that two hours per day are not enough for walking.

User shoroomeugenekaraganda_ notes that it is difficult to control the duration of walks, and bro_lamro compares the restrictions imposed in Chechnya with a prison regime.
