Chechen SC refuses to rehabilitate Dagestani residents killed by law enforcers

Eight residents of Dagestan, who were declared killed in a special operation conducted in Chechnya in 2016, were found guilty of an attempt on law enforcers, the Supreme Court (SC) of Chechnya ruled out. Relatives of the deceased Dagestani residents intend to appeal against the decision of the Chechen SC.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Dagestani residents Gashim Uzdanov, Pakhrudin Makhaev, Islam Magomedov, and Shamil Djamalutdinov disappeared on September 28, 2016, while Gusein Guseinov, Klych Klychev, Shamil Djamalutdinov, and Kamil Djamalutdinov disappeared in Khasavyurt on October 4. The law enforcement bodies claim that the above mentioned people were plotting a terror act and were killed in a shootout.

According to the law enforcement bodies, on October 9, 2016, in the Gudermes District of Chechnya, policemen tried to stop two cars. Passengers of the cars opened fire. Eight suspected militants were killed and four policemen were wounded in a shootout, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported.

Relatives of the killed Dagestani residents believe that all eight men were kidnapped and could not be together that night in Chechnya.

Let us remind you that according to their relatives, the Dagestani residents were kidnapped and killed. At a court hearing held on February 3, a service station employee confirmed that he saw how three out of eight Dagestani residents had been kidnapped.
