KBR and Dagestan head the anti-rating of regions with lowest salaries

Among the regions of Southern Russia, the largest number of workers with wages and salaries above 100,000 roubles per month live and work in the Astrakhan and Rostov Regions, and in the Krasnodar Territory. Dagestan and the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) are the outsiders – here, less than one percent of workers receive such salaries.

The RIA "Rating" has conducted a study of salaries in different regions of the Russian Federation. The basic indicator in the rating was the share of employees whose monthly salaries are 100,000 roubles or more, that is, who are regarded as highly paid. The share of low-paid workers with wages of less than 15,000 roubles per month was also analyzed.

The best situation in the ranking among the regions of Southern Russia belongs to the Astrakhan Region, which takes the 36th place. Here, 2.9 percent of workers earn more than 100,000 roubles a month. At the same time, 22.2 percent of them receive wages below 15,000 roubles a month.

The Krasnodar Territory and the Rostov Region are in the 41st and 48th places respectively.

Chechnya is in the 76th place in the rating with one percent of highly paid workers and 28.8 percent of low-paid ones.

Dagestan and the KBR are at the end of the rating – in the 84th and 85th places with 0.9 and 0.7 percent of highly paid workers, respectively. There are more low-paid workers in Dagestan – 34.2 percent, while in the KBR there are 30.7 percent of them.
