Law enforcers interrupt their raids at "Tangim" Mosque in Makhachkala

Believers have reported that on November 22, during their Friday namaz (prayer), there were no mobile posts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan near the "Tangim" Mosque. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, who visited the vicinity, has confirmed the absence of law enforcers there.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that law enforcers used to regularly conduct their Fridays raids near the "Tangim" Mosque in Makhachkala.

The absence of law enforcers' posts on November 22 is only due to the change of their tactics, said a parishioner named Murad. "This has happened earlier, but they can't cancel the raids completely," he told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Idris Yusupov, a journalist, also believes that it's too early to state the cessation of raids based on one yesterday's case. "This can definitely be stated some time later," Mr Yusupov believes. "They sometimes suspended raids even for a month, but then resumed again," he has added.
