Abkhazia lifts temporary restriction on border crossing with Georgia

Abkhazia has lifted the restriction imposed in June on border crossing with Georgia, the Abkhaz State Security Service (SSB) reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that citizens of Abkhazia were temporarily banned from travelling to Georgia because of mass protests in the country. The State Security Service of Abkhazia suggested that the protest actions in the Zugdidi District, bordering on Abkhazia, were of provocative nature and threatened the statehood of Abkhazia.
