Azerbaijan accused Armenia of sniper shelling

The Armenian Armed Forces have violated the ceasefire for 21 times by using sniper rifles, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 16, Azerbaijan also claimed sniper attacks in the conflict zone, counting 22 ceasefire violations within the past 24 hours.

In the period from August 1 to August 17, the following positions of the Azerbaijani Army were shelled: in the villages of Kokhanebi Agbulag, Garalar of the Tovuz District, and on the nameless heights of the Gadabay District, the Azerbaijani MoD said in its statement today.

As of 9:50 a.m. Moscow time today, the MoDs of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh had not commented on this statement on their websites.
