Erosi Kitsmarashvili's relatives voice claims on "Rustavi-2" TV Company

Family members of Erosi Kitsmarishvili, a deceased co-founder of the "Rustavi-2" TV Company, intend to go to court and seek the transfer to them of 30% of the shares of the TV Company. Djardji Akemidze, a co-founder of the "Rustavi-2" TV Company, decided to start a similar lawsuit.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 18, the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) recognized as legitimate the decision of the Supreme Court (SC) of Georgia, pronounced in 2015, to transfer the assets of the "Rustavi-2" TV Company to its former owner Kibar Khalvashi. In turn, he suggested donating 40% of the TV Company's shares to its two founders, Djardji Akemidze and David Dvali. However, they were not satisfied with such conditions. They told reporters that such a proposal did not provide them with voices in the TV Company, and the ruling "Georgian Dream" Party wanted to take control over TV broadcasting in that way.

David Dvali and Djardji Akemidze founded the "Rustavi-2" TV Company together with Erosi Kitsmarishvili, who later deceased. David Dvali and Djardji Akemidze had 60% of shares of the TV Company.

The family members of Erosi Kitsmarishvili, the deceased co-founder of the "Rustavi-2" TV Company, said they would file a lawsuit to return 30% of the shares of the TV Company that had once belonged to him.

Djardji Akemidze, one of the founders of the "Rustavi-2" TV Company, intends to start a lawsuit for the return of its shares.
