Nagorno-Karabakh accused Azerbaijan of 100 shelling attacks within the last week

During the period from June 30 to July 6, 2019, Azerbaijani soldiers kept violating the ceasefire regime on the troops contact line, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Nagorno-Karabakh has informed. In its turn, Azerbaijan recorded only rare single shots made during the week.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 23-29, 2019, Nagorno-Karabakh counted 90 shelling attacks on its positions.

After the June 20 meeting of the officials of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs (MFAs) of Armenia and Azerbaijan, the latter noted an almost complete cessation of shelling attacks.

During the above week (June 30-July 6) the Nagorno-Karabakh's MoD fixed 100 shelling attacks on its positions with the use of small arms. "About 750 shots were fired from various calibre firearms in the direction of Armenian positions," the press service of the MoD has reported.

For its part, the Defence Army of Nagorno-Karabakh "refrained from retaliation, adhering to the ceasefire agreement," the MoD has added.

The Azerbaijan MoD continues reporting a relatively calm situation on the troops contact line.
