Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov to refrain from personnel changes in Ingush government

At the today's meeting of the People's Assembly of Ingushetia, Alexander Matovnikov, Presidential Plenipotentiary in the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), introduced to Ingush MPs Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov, the acting leader of Ingushetia. Yunus-Bek Evkurov, the resigning leader of Ingushetia, took part in the introduction ceremony, the "Ekho Moskvy" reports on its website.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 26, Russian President Vladimir Putin accepted the resignation of the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Evkurov, and appointed Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov as acting head of Ingushetia.

According to Alexander Matovnikov, the main activity of Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov is to include "further social and economic development of the region." "We need to work to improve the quality of people's lives and consolidate the Ingush society. The support of the federal centre is guaranteed," stated Alexander Matovnikov.

In his turn, while delivering a speech to members of the People's Assembly of the region, Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov, the acting leader of Ingushetia, declared that he had no intentions to make "serious personnel changes in the government of the republic in the near future." "We should first examine the situation and see how responsibly employees treat the performance of their own duties.
