Report on bomb planted in Dagestani Muftiate turned to be false

On May 20, law enforcers checked a report about the bomb allegedly planted in the building of the Dagestani Muftiate in Makhachkala. People from the building and around it were evacuated.

The anonymous report about the bomb planted in the building of the Muftiate of Dagestan in Makhachkala proved to be false. This was the third false report about planted explosive devices received during the holy month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported.

The telephone call, reporting about a bomb planted in the Muftiate, was made to the police at 5:10 p.m. Moscow time.

"As a result of the inspection of the territory [...] no explosive devices were found. The telephone message was not confirmed," says the message posted on the Instagram page on the Chief Department of the Russian MIA for Dagestan.

The MIA has noted that the mining report was the third one within the last 10 days, "two of them were about religious sites during the holy month of Ramadan."

Let us remind you that on May 18, a false report about the bomb resulted in evacuation of people from the central Djuma Mosque of Makhachkala. The evacuation of visitors to the Muftiate of Dagestan, the building of which is located next to the mosque, was also reported. Law enforcers found no explosive devices.
