Attackers on Caucasians detained in three Russian regions

Six members of the ultra-right-wing group "National Bloc" have been detained in Moscow, and in Moscow and Vladimir Regions. According to investigators, the young people provoked natives from the Caucasus to fight. One of the suspects is a native of the Krasnodar Territory.

The detentions within the case of organizing an extremist community (Part 1, Article 282.1 of the Russian Criminal Code) were conducted on May 7. The suspects are young people aged from 17 to 21 years; they are students.

The detainees communicated in the group in the "VKontakte" social network and in the chat in the Telegram; they learned to use weapons and professed ultra-right-wing views, declaring their hatred towards Jews, natives from the Caucasus and other people of non-Slavic appearance. For several times they participated in Moscow in fights with Caucasians, the "Mediazona" writes in its today's material.

The reason for the detention of the members of the grouping was the case of the brutal murder of a Muscovite, not related to the activities of the neo-Nazi group. One of the detainees after the murder of the man for domestic reasons was the 18-year-old unemployed Igor Sokolyuk; he was arrested back on July 27, 2018. Sokolyuk allegedly testified to law enforcers about his ultra-right-wing acquaintances from the "National Bloc", after which his accusation was re-qualified for a milder one.

The Presnya District Court of Moscow has arrested two alleged organizers of the grouping until July 6. One of them gave confessions, the "Moscow" News Agency reported on May 8.
