Law enforcers detain participants of "Monstration" action in Makhachkala

Several people were detained at an action in Makhachkala, including Raisat Sirazhudinova, the organizer of the "Monstration".

The "Monstration" is a mass artistic action in the form of a demonstration with slogans and banners. For the most part, the content of banners looks extremely absurd and apolitical, says the account "Monstration" in the Instagram of Makhachkala.

Law enforcers have detained four activists, including the lawyer, Marat Ismailov, said the organizer Raisat Sirazhudinova.

According to the Telegram-channel RIA "Derbent", 15 law enforcers have joined the action; and, apart from Ismailov, they detained a guy and a girl who wanted to take part in the "Monstration".

Ms Sirazhudinova has added that the city administration refused to sanction the event, referring to the impossibility of ensuring security. However, the organizers decided not to cancel the action, but to hold it in a different format, the RIA "Derbent" reports.
