Idea of installing sculpture in Kaspiysk sparks debates about garbage in social networks

A sculpture to a citizen who has brought garbage to a bin will be installed in Kaspiysk in order to draw attention to the problem of spontaneous dumps in the city. The initiative of one of the construction companies has caused a hot debate in social networks about the sources of garbage in the streets of Kaspiysk and other cities of Dagestan.

The sculptural ensemble has the working title "Exemplary Kaspiysk Resident", the authors of the idea have explained.

The initiative has caused a stormy and ambiguous reaction of social network users. Some of them have approved the call to maintain cleanliness and order, but drew attention to the lack of a sufficient number of bins and garbage cans in the city, which, in their opinion, provokes the appearance of spontaneous dumps.

"They'd better provide more garbage bins in the city, not a monument; we have bins at two kilometres apart," the user under the nickname _musa_kurbanov was indignant.

"It's better to erect a monument to an official who will ensure garbage bins every 30-50 meters at least in the city," the user zirarov.bsh believes.

"I'd not be surprised if they start throwing garbage into the bin of the monument," the user _ashyra_ has ironically commented.
