Nagorno-Karabakh states 250 shelling attacks a week

During the week from March 31 to April 6, Azerbaijani soldiers fired over 2500 shots at the positions of the Defence Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), its Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that during the week from March 24 to March 30, 2019, the NKR recorded 170 cases of ceasefire violation in the conflict zone.

"From March 31 to April 6, the opponent violated the ceasefire regime for about 250 times on the contact line of the Armed Forces of Artsakh and Azerbaijan, by firing over 2500 shots at the combat positions of Armenia from various small arms," the website of the NKR's MoD has stated.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan is daily informing about the shelling of its positions. So, on April 6, its MoD counted 23 shelling attacks committed within the last 24 hours. According to the calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", in the period from March 31 to April 6, 2019, Azerbaijan reported 169 shelling attacks undertaken from the territories controlled by the NKR, and from the pre-border areas of Armenia.
