Criminal case opened on beating of child in Kaspiysk orphanage

In Kaspiysk, a former tutor of an orphanage is suspected of beating a child, investigators reported on March 29.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 4, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) launched a pre-investigation into a video showing how a tutor beat a child at the orphanage in Kaspiysk. Earlier, the video had been shown by one of the federal TV channels. The tutor was dismissed, and the Prosecutor's Office found a violation of the law in her actions.

The video posted on March 3 in the group "Voice of Dagestan" on Instagram shows a woman who hits a boy to his head in a corridor. Meanwhile, people who pass by and a woman who stands nearby pay no attention to the incident. The child presses himself into the corner and gets another blow, and then the boy takes off his clothes ad stays in his underpants. The woman tells the child where to go, and he disappears with the clothes in his hands.

According to investigators, on February 8, being dissatisfied with the behaviour of the 9-year-old boy, the tutor from the orphanage in Kaspiysk hit the child to his head. The publicity of the incident led to the institution of a criminal case against the former tutor of the orphanage. The woman faces up to three years of imprisonment.
