Woman from Grozny complains against officials' inaction after seizure of building yard

In, a gate has been installed on the territory of a common yard of several multi-storey buildings and a brick wall is being under construction. The authorities failed to respond to the residents' complaints, an author of a video stated.

The video was posted on the "Chechen WhatsApp 3" channel on YouTube. In the video, a woman shows the territory surrounded by multi-storey buildings. According to her, a gate has been installed at the entrances to the yard and "a wall reminding the Chinese wall is under construction." The woman expresses her concern that in case of fire, evacuation of residents would be difficult because of the closed gate.

The author of the video also complains that local residents are forced to change their usual routes because of the wall under construction. "To go to school, children have to go around those houses," the woman complains.
